 Fiberbuilt® is the only industrial custom brush manufacturer in western Canada, operating in Calgary since 1959. Michael Hooper and Dolores Houghton purchased the business in 1997, taking over from Michael's father, Jack Hooper.
What began as a hand assembly operation focusing on floor brooms has evolved into a highly mechanized and complex industry. Today Fiberbuilt® has a number of very diverse market streams. They specialize in designing and engineering industry specific custom brushes and manufacture standard brushes for markets ranging from the food service to the oil and gas industry; synthetic 'long fiber grass' golf products; unique 'long fiber grass' custom advertising programs & logo imaging; and their Logistical Supply Chain Management division offers services to manage the complex flow of materials and products. This division also operates and controls a warehouse in the U.S. assisting other Canadian companies with their export business. The patented synthetic 'long fiber grass' golf line is unique to Fiberbuilt and has contributed to significant growth in recent years, as the company continues to further establish their U.S. and offshore markets. As all divisions compete to set new sales records, prospects for Fiberbuilt's future are "a clean sweep."
